The solar tax credit may be ending as soon as this year.
A new bill in Congress is threatening to gut the 30% federal solar tax credit—nearly a decade earlier than expected. If passed, the residential credit could vanish by the end of 2025, meaning thousands of dollars in potential savings will disappear for good. The fight is far from over, but these tax incentives have never been threatened like this. The 30% tax credit represents about $9,000 for the average system. Missing out on this credit means spending thousands more for the same sized system after 2025.
Installation timelines matter.
To qualify for the credit, your system must be fully installed and operational by December 31, 2025. We are already seeing increased interest / outreach and our schedule is already booked up for a couple of months. We will only get busier as the end of the year approaches so the sooner you reach out, the better your chances are off getting in before the deadline.
Equipment shortages possible.
With the rush to get in before the deadline we anticipate equipment shortages due to the sudden demand. This may also cause prices to go up towards the end of the year.
